On Monday, lawmakers will consider giving aid to victims of the Hugo tornado last May.
A Senate committee will review the city's request for $438,000 to help with infrastructure costs from the May 25 storm after federal government said the victims didn't quality for financial help.
City officials said it had to use its reserves to pay for road and utility work after the fatal EF3 tornado hit the city, and is now in need for money to pay for other projects.
The storm claimed the life of two-year-old Nathaniel Prindle, whose sister and parents were also injured.
