ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Attorneys for Republican Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken continue to go ballot-by-ballot Friday, as they argue over rejected absentee votes in Minnesota's Senate trial.
Coleman attorney Joe Friedberg tried to show that some rejected ballots that county officials later concluded were "wrongly rejected" feature some of the same errors as other rejected ballots that haven't been counted yet.
Franken attorney Kevin Hamilton argued that under state law, some of the ballots deemed wrongly rejected actually should have been rejected.
The judges plan a short day of testimony Friday, before weighing whether certain rejected ballots should be counted. The judges' ruling is expected by Monday.
