FINLAY: Wednesday Night

Giulianis speech was fantastic, and he was receiving such warm feedback that he would frequently go off teleprompter and add new digs at Obama. He kept us cheering so long, that the convention operators actually started asking the convention delegations to sit down so that they could fit Sarah Palin into prime time!

I was concerned that Rudy was going to upstage Sarah, but when Sarah spoke, she was fantastic: in response to Obamas attacks on Sarah's

experience: "I guess being mayor of a small town's sort of like being a 'community organizer', except that you have actual responsibilities!". To Obama's campaign, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

And she continued with more funny comments: "That luxury jet was over the top. (pause) I put it on eBay". The comment was not only humorous, but also illustrates her interest in cutting budgets.

And my third favorite comment: "When the styrofoam Greek column are hauled off back to some studio lot" do we know what Obama's plan is?

What's disingenuous about Obama's response to these digs is his insistence that this is an attack on community organizing. Far from it

- Sarah's comments point out that being the mayor of a small town is like being a community organizer when it comes to developing communities, and it has more accountability! The dig about community organizing isn't around the value of community organizers, it's around the insensitive comments from the Obama attack machine.
