CRAWFORD: Arrival

We've just finished visiting Civic Fest at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It was good to see the mayors of both St. Paul and Minneapolis there. I also had the chance to tour the displays with the other KSTP bloggers, Brion and Katie. The organizers did a phenomenal job with the exhibits. We only spent a few hours there, but there's enough to hold one's interest for an entire day. The Forgotten Founders exhibit alone is worth a trip to the Convention Center.

We began the day helping out with a picnic at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul. It's run by a great group of individuals. It was a pleasure meeting them.

We received our schedules for Monday. The first session has been shortened down to a couple of hours in the afternoon due to concerns regarding Hurricane Gustav. It should be a relatively low-key session.
