BERGSTROM: Convention 'Bar' Debates

If one is a sports fan and spends any time in bars or with friends watching games, debates over sports teams, players, etc. are sure to happen.  After I was elected a delegate to the convention a friend asked me a great question which I think is perfect Bar conversation fodder:

If you could have a 10 minute conversation with any one person other than the nominees at the convention, who would you choose?

I've thought about it a bunch and am still not sure who I would choose.  It would be great to talk to Al Gore, Jimmy Carter or Hillary Clinton, to be sure.  I think it would be crazy to sit down with Congressman John L. Lewis, too.  What an amazing life he's led.  He may be my top choice because I lived in Montgomery, AL for a year and have seen where he helped change our country's course on the Edmund Pettis Bridge.  Ted Kennedy would be on the list, too, but though he may make a special appearance, I doubt he'll be mingling much.  And though I don't think he'd end up being my choice, I'd like to meet Gary Hart.
